It matters not how a man dies, but how he lives. The act of dying is not of importance, it lasts so short a time.

James Boswell, The Life of Samuel Johnson

Mo mother-in-love is in her last days—perhaps her final hours or minutes as I write this. We journey today and pray her home with love and gratitude for the life she has lived well.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. So sorry, Linda. Apparently she had an impact on your life and you have wonderful memories to carry you through this time of grieving. I will be praying for her home going and for those loved ones left behind.

  2. Thinking of you today. Always so bittersweet to say goodbye to those whose time has come, yet still so hard to see them off. My sympathy to you and all who love her.

  3. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  4. I’m so sorry, Linda and Gerry. Blessings, strength to you both.
