I don’t believe in the kind of magic in my books. But I do believe something very magical can happen when you read a good book.

J.K. Rowling

Another day at Camp G and G filled with games, tie dye, a visit to the science centre, and a few games of croquet in the back yard.

My daughter and I share a couple of texts while I  prepare a late supper.

I don’t know where the time goes, I tell her by way of explaining the lateness of our evening meal.

She replies simply: LOL. And I imagine her knowing nod.

We’re out of the house early today: Gerry for an all-day hike, and Ladybug Girl and I for my dental appointment.

Later, we’ll hit the library to replenish our supply of reading material in preparation for a lazy bookish afternoon spent outside enjoying the Kamloops heat.

Still, and always, abundantly blessed and grateful.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.

  1. Oh my Linda! Where do you find your energy?

    1. Makiya brings it! On that note, Grandma is feeling a bit weary these days though. 🙂

  2. Grab a good book and a bit of shade on beautiful summer days—my idea of heaven!

    1. Mine too!
