“There are only ten minutes in the life of a pear when it is perfect to eat.”

Finally! A bit of light yesterday! I ran downstairs to my woman cave in my pajamas yesterday morning when I realized we had light. The pears were right where I left them the day before when I was taking some dark and moody shots. What a difference a day can make!

Yesterday: a pleasant road trip with hubby followed by a short visit with his mum and dad. Twice recently I’ve dreamed of the two of us falling off a cliff–in one of those dreams Gerry was driving when it happened. I may not be the best passenger right now in light of this falling fixation. Still, it was a lovely day, and we finally found a supplier for very large bags of bulk rice, beans, and cereal. On the hunt for food safe buckets now so we can stock up.

Today: women’s bible study followed by shopping time. Doing my very best to wrap up Christmas preparations (no pun intended) this week as we’re anticipating the arrival of a very special guest next week.

I’m a writer, reader, and creative. I thought by now I’d have things figured out, but I keep coming up with more questions. I think that’s okay. I’m here most mornings pondering ordinary things and the thin places where faith intersects.
