I’m in Prince George. Makiya and I drove up yesterday because she has an appointment with her orthodontist today. It’ll be the last one here; Laurinda will have to get her hooked up with one in Kamloops going forward.
It’s a long drive and it rained the whole way. No complaints about the rain after experiencing the effects of a tinder dry province on fire this summer. The autumn colours were beautiful—more so than we’re seeing in Kamloops so far. We enjoyed a balance of good conversation and healthy pockets of silence along the way.
Last evening, Laurinda and I watched a movie we’ve been wanting to see called Four Good Days. It was intense. I’m glad we had the opportunity to watch together.
My writing group meets today and, thanks to the magic of Zoom, I can still attend. I’m looking forward to hearing the stories the women have written this month.
Just now, I’m sitting up in bed tapping out these words and thinking about coffee. It’s time to get moving. Have a wonderful Saturday, all.
