Moving In

Posted on April 30, 2024February 25, 2026 by Linda

Well, I’m home. Tiptoeing around, opening doors, looking in closets, and generally scoping out the new place. There’s still a few boxes to unpack and, as it is with every move, I ‘m afraid I. may have misplaced a few things—like some of you. I’m not certain, but time will tell.

I had challenges getting the new place to use the old address (Isn’t that something? Moving, and expecting to keep the same address. Only in cyberspace.), but on the whole, I’ve had fun getting things ready.

What do you think of this new space? Would you drop a comment and let me know you’re here?

Assuming all looks well, we will now resume our irregularly scheduled programming. 🙂

Hi Linda – I thought I’d lost you, then checked again later and here you are! Congratulations on your new home and continuing to simplify. I’m curious about your yearly blog book–what is it, how do you put it together, and where do you keep it?

Hi April – I’m still here! At the end of every year, I download the posts for that year using Blog2Print then upload it to Amazon KDP and create an actual book. I don’t actually publish it, but just order an author copy for myself. I have a book for every year since 2008 when I started blogging.

Thanks – how creative! Maybe I’ll try that too.

Hi Linda. This new space looks clean and light and airy. I like your tagline – though I’m not sure if it’s new.

Wishing you all the best in your new home.

Hi Caitlynne. Thanks for stopping by and commenting—clean, light, and airy is exactly what I was going for.

Hi, I’m Linda Hoye. Welcome! I live in Saskatchewan, Canada with my husband and our Yorkie, Molly. Retired from my corporate career, I appreciate having time and opportunity to fill my days with things that nourish my soul and spirit like writing. watercolour painting, reading, gardening, and blogging about the simple joys of every day. I’ve been blogging since 2008, starting fresh here in 2022 when we moved home to Saskatchewan. May this space be a sanctuary in a very noisy world. 😊
