Friday’s Fave Five in Pictures – June 1

It’s been a busy week and I’ve been heads-down at my desk for a good chunk of it. Putting together a Friday’s Fave Five post reminds me of the good things that also made up the substance of this week.

Time spent in the beautiful Wakamow Valley. There’s a lot to explore and I look forward to spending a LOT more time there in the coming months and years.

This was the view from our front step one evening at 9:00 p.m. this week. Who doesn’t love long Saskatchewan evenings?

I picked the first radish from the garden this week. Things are growing like wildfire (oops—perhaps not the best choice of words given the current state) thanks to rain and thunderstorms that boost the nitrogen.

A wander through beautiful Crescent Park in the middle of downtown Moose Jaw makes a perfect break in the middle of the day. Must do more often.

And finally, while I was waiting for a train to pass one afternoon on the way to Caronport, I spied this load of Weyerhaeuser lumber. I spent a quarter century working for the forest products company in Kamloops, B.C. and Federal Way, Washington. They were good years but these post-retirement ones are sweeter.

That city park is so pretty!! I’d wanna walk there every day!
Love fresh produce. I live in suburbia and we travel often so i’m only growing basil this year on the deck. it’s doing well so far!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
