Every year at this time, I look back at the books I’ve read over the past twelve months and choose ten favourites. The list is wholly subjective and based entirely on my personal reading preferences. I read 62 books in 2025 and had a tough time narrowing down the list—hence, why it’s actually a dozen. It was an outstanding year in books.
In no particular order, here are my top ten favourite reads of 2025 with links to Amazon.ca and a special notation indicating Canadian authors, because the world needs more Canada.

(I am sooo late to the party on this one, and it is not my usual reading genre. I sampled it based on a recommendation and couldn’t put it down. It might have been written yesterday, not 72 years ago. Chilling and disturbingly relevant to the world we live in today.)
