I’m sitting in the wing chair in my office looking west at a dark, broody sky. (This photo does not reflect that, obviously. I captured this image the other evening. I love it.) There’s a possibility of a thunderstorm according to the forecast. One thing we’ve learned about Saskatchewan is that the weather can change on a dime, so I won’t guess at how the morning will unfold.
What I know for sure is that in a couple of hours, I’ll drive Makiya to school in Caronport while Gerry continues laying cedar chips around trees and perennials that line our back yard.
I know, for certain, that I’m relatively uninformed regarding current world events at the moment and I’m okay with that.
I also know that:
- I’m tired.
- I need to cut my carb consumption.
- Saskatchewan weather will surprise and dismay us this summer in terms of the garden.
- We’ll be eating fresh picked radishes very soon.
- I miss my little Yorkie, Murphy, deeply.
- One can enjoy a good measure of cultural activities in Moose Jaw without feeling overwhelmed by crowds.
- Our next door neighbour attends the same church we do.
- I will write later this morning.
- It’s time to hit the shower.
What do you know for sure these days?
