She’s home! Our tiny bundle with a long name. Her full Canadian Kennel Club name is Tweedsmuir Molly Jean Hoye.
Tweedsmuir, because that’s the name of our breeder (who we love!). Molly, because that’s her given name and what we’ll call her. Jean, because, paired with Molly, gives her the initials of MJ which mirrors Moose Jaw (Corny, perhaps. No apologies. 🙂 )
More often that not, right now I call her Maya-Murphy-Molly, going through the list of names until I land on hers. It reminds me of the way I used to mix up my granddaughter, Makiya’s, name with our Yorkie, Maya’s. The struggle is real, friends!
She’s a purebred Yorkshire Terrier, and her colouring is gold and blue—a departure from our other dogs who were all black and tan. Her puppy coat is soft, silky, and shiny.
Little Miss Molly did really well last night, her first one away from her mama and littermates, sleeping seven hours straight. We’re finding our way, establishing routines, and getting to know one another. The house is a mess, life is topsy-turvey at the moment, and I’m absolutely smitten! I’m also spending a lot of time sitting on the floor. 🙂
