A Gray Day

It is gray and raining. We are still under a winter storm watch, but the above-freezing temperatures give me cause to believe it won’t amount to much here in Moose Jaw. Maybe I’m being overly optimistic—time will tell. It’s likely to be a different story east of us.

The gloom of this morning matches my feelings, though I try not to linger there.

Our daughter-in-love had a heart attack yesterday morning. She is 38 years old. Our son called when I was on the way to pick Makiya up from school in Caronport and I knew immediately from the sound of his “hi” that something was wrong. He is miles away from home, working in the Yukon, and will fly home today. I texted back and forth with her briefly this morning. She is feeling better than yesterday and having more tests done today.

Makiya is home sick from school.

Gerry is having a cortisone shot in his shoulder this afternoon.

We carry on. In prayer.
