Fifty-One Things I’m Pondering This Morning

Posted on June 4, 2023 by Linda

  1. The lure of busyness is a strong one.
  2. I didn’t know it could be so humid in Saskatchewan.
  3. Yorkies. Puppies. Older dogs.
  4. Why has Trinity Sunday not been on my radar before now?
  5. Raised bed gardens. Will there still be time to grow what I want to when we get the new ones in?
  6. Roll kuchen. Must teach Makiya to make it before she leaves.
  7. I still struggle to put boundaries around my work.
  8. I love the perennial flower beds lining our driveway.
  9. Why does the birdbath get so dirty every day?
  10. How much farther can I drive west on Caribou and still make a right to get to the Trans Canada Highway?
  11. Yorkies.
  12. I need to bake bread.
  13. I’m amazed at how quickly things are growing in my garden.
  14. I hope we don’t get hail.
  15. I hope a tornado doesn’t touch down.
  16. My desk is a mess.
  17. There are a lot of robins here.
  18. I wish it wasn’t so muggy.
  19. I’m amazed by how strong and fit my husband is at 75.
  20. Why are my knees so sore?
  21. Is Makiya wearing her retainer?
  22. I love being the age that I am.
  23. I’m looking forward to seeing my BFF soon.
  24. I’m looking forward to seeing family this summer.
  25. I’m looking forward to a couple weeks of solitude this summer.
  26. I love how Maya has taken Murthy’s place in waiting for me outside the bathroom door sometimes.
  27. It’s interesting how Maya, the quintessential introvert, has taken to wandering around the house looking for us when we’re not all in the same room.
  28. I should dehydrate green beans for a dog treat.
  29. Are the new Norwex dish clothes I got yesterday going to work out?
  30. Should I get some Norwex dish towels?
  31. Why am I so tired?
  32. I wonder how hot it’s going to get in the little century-old church we attend.
  33. I wonder what happened to the swans in Crescent Park.
  34. Sometimes I worry more than I pray.
  35. My mom and dad would love the fact that we live in Moose Jaw now.
  36. I miss my little dog, Murphy.
  37. Is it time to switch to a new flavour of tea?
  38. What is it with shrews?
  39. I can’t wait for the changes in our backyard to be finished.
  40. I love seeing kids on bikes and scooters on our street.
  41. I love having our own space again after living in a strata complex.
  42. I’m ready to let go of some things.
  43. I miss having regular float time in a sensory deprivation chamber.
  44. I love my new sash bag.
  45. Yorkies.
  46. I’m thankful for air conditioning.
  47. I could attend, and enjoy, a dance recital even though my granddaughter is no longer in dance.
  48. Being a teenager is hard. (See #22.)
  49. I don’t like creamy potato salad as much as I used to.
  50. What am I going to make for dinner?
  51. I am so tired of having to come up with a plan for a meal every. Single. Day.

    That’s a lot. No wonder you’re tired

There’s always something to think about and do, isn’t there?! Thanks for stopping by, Leona!

Hi, I’m Linda Hoye. Welcome! I live in Saskatchewan, Canada with my husband and our Yorkie, Molly. Retired from my corporate career, I appreciate having time and opportunity to fill my days with things that nourish my soul and spirit like writing. watercolour painting, reading, gardening, and blogging about the simple joys of every day. I’ve been blogging since 2008, starting fresh here in 2022 when we moved home to Saskatchewan. May this space be a sanctuary in a very noisy world. 😊
