Joy Sparkers Abound

Posted on April 6, 2024 by Linda

What a great week it’s been. I was inspired to jot down a few things that have sparked joy in me the past couple of days and thought I’d share it here.

  • A good haircut (at last!).
  • Seeing and hearing kids playing outside and wearing shorts and t-shirts.
  • Flocks of Canada Geese returning from their winter vacation.
  • A visit to the local garden center.
  • A trip to Regina with Gerry and lunch at Red Lobster.
  • Thinking I had an evening commitment and realizing it wasn’t until next week.
  • Coffee with friends.
  • Daffodils on the dining table.
  • Morning chit-chat with my daughter.
  • Writing miniature narratives and feeling the spark of inspiration to do more.
  • Blue skies and +24C.
  • Texting with my granddaughter.
  • Sitting outside in the yard with Molly and watching her explore.
  • An unexpected visit with family.

What’s sparking joy in your world this week?

I loved your list of joy sparklers. When a person starts to notice–and write them down–the world is full of them, isn’t it! Thanks for letting us see your list today. (And when you come away feeling good about a new haircut, I’d say that is right near the top for joy sparklers.)

Hi, I’m Linda Hoye. Welcome! I live in Saskatchewan, Canada with my husband and our Yorkie, Molly. Retired from my corporate career, I appreciate having time and opportunity to fill my days with things that nourish my soul and spirit like writing. watercolour painting, reading, gardening, and blogging about the simple joys of every day. I’ve been blogging since 2008, starting fresh here in 2022 when we moved home to Saskatchewan. May this space be a sanctuary in a very noisy world. 😊
